Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, 1/16

The YWCA Greater Charleston and the community come together to honor the legacy of Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with one of the city’s biggest parades, featuring loads of Lowcountry organizations, marching bands, and more. The parade departs from Burke High School on President Street, ends at Marion Square, and is followed by a youth speech and poetry slam at the College of Charleston.
