FRESHFIELDS VILLAGE ANNOUNCES SUMMER EVENTS PROGRAM

Music on the Green, weekly Farmer’s Market and Starlight Cinema series will return in 2017.

Freshfields Village, located at the crossroads of Kiawah and Seabrook Islands, announces robust summer programming with outdoor events held weekly on the Village Green starting Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Weekend.

The summer events program kicks off with a special, two-night Music on the Green series, held Friday, May 26 and Saturday, May 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. on the Village Green. Guests will enjoy a variety of music from Java on Friday evening and The Counts on Saturday evening. Both concerts are free, and guests are encouraged to bring a beach chair or blanket.

Beginning Friday, June 2, the Music on the Green summer concert series continues every Friday night from 6 to 9 p.m., kicking off with local rock and blues band Tullamore Road. This family-friendly, outdoor concert series will feature top acts from across the Southeast in all genres of music.

The summer Farmer’s Market returns on Monday, June 5, and will be held weekly on Mondays from 4 to 8 p.m. with the exception of Monday, August 21. Guests will have the chance to browse the freshest produce and local specialty items, including certified organic produce, fresh seafood, packaged and prepared foods, as well as handmade Lowcountry crafts.

On Wednesday, June 14, Freshfields Village will host the first Starlight Cinema event of the season. The series of film screenings will take place each Wednesday through August 16 at 8:30 p.m on the Village Green beginning with a showing of Minions. Guests can bring a blanket, chair and picnic and enjoy a free, family-friendly outdoor movie. Come out before the movie from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on select dates to try out the hottest summertime swing, the Swurfer.
