The Art of Jazz featuring the Duda Lucena Trio

Join Charleston Jazz as we team up with the Gibbes Museum of Art for a summer series of music inspired by the works on view at the Gibbes. Grab a glass of wine and listen to some of Charleston’s most talented musicians.

Ron Wiltrout – Drums

Duda Lucena began composing music at the age of 12 and began working as a professional musician performing in the most renowned theaters in his hometown of Recife, Brazil. Now, after 5 years of living in Charleston, SC, he is recognized as a pivotal force in Brazilian jazz music on the local scene. Throughout his life, Lucena has been influenced by and performed with musicians from North and South America and Europe and performed throughout Brazil, Mexico, and the United States.
