Sunset at Fort Sumter – June through October

Here’s another fun thing to do with your summer visitors.

Experience a waterside view of the historic architectural gem that has been voted “Top City” in the USA by Conde Nast Traveler, Charleston, SC. Combine that with a Sunset at Fort Sumter tour were you will interact with period dressed Civil War living historians and learn in-depth details of the Civil War. Once at the fort enjoy the rich history provided by the National Park Service Rangers and spectacular views of the city, harbor and Atlantic Ocean from the top of the fort. For the return cruise, relax and take in the spectacular views of the harbor and her marine life while dining on southern BBQ cuisine. Beer, wine & cocktails are available for purchase to and from the fort.

The boat leaves from Liberty Square at 340 Concord Street each Friday evening from June through October.  Boarding is at 5:00 pm.  Advance reservations are recommended. Click here for tickets or call 843-722-2628. Walk up reservations are welcome at the 340 Concord Street (Liberty Square) gate on a space available basis. Parking is easy at nearby Aquarium Wharf garage.
