Once again, Vincent’s Drug Store in Freshfields will be participating in the DEA’s Drug Take Back on Saturday, October 28 from 10 am to 2 pm. Bring your unused medications to the store for proper disposal.
This is the time to check your medicine cabinet for unused or expired prescriptions. Not only are they taking up space, but they can be harmful if someone else, other than whom they were prescribed for, accidentally takes them.
The problem is how to dispose of them. Throwing them in the trash is obviously not the solution. Once they are in the landfill, they can be picked up by people or animals. Flushing them down the drain can pollute the water system.
The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is a safe way to dispose of these prescription drugs.
