On Sunday, December 3, we will experience a full moon while the moon is at its closest point to the earth in its orbit. This event is known as a supermoon. While the event will provide a spectacular view of a larger than normal moon, it will also bring higher than normal tides. From Saturday (12-2) through Wednesday (12-6), the AM high tide will be over 7.0′. Charleston County will issue a coastal flood warning for tides above 7.0′.
