The Green Space Conservancy Requests Your Help!

Can it really be only a short time until the Annual Green Space Conservancy Gala? March 18 is just around the corner! While the cold weather has kept many of us inside, it will soon be warm, the trees bursting into bloom. As you get back outside to admire our beautiful surroundings, remember that the dedicated green spaces help make Seabrook Island so special. We are asking you to think about making a contribution for the Conservancy to offer at our silent and live auctions on the March 18 so that we can continue to support this fantastic environment.

Perhaps you have a treasure that you would be willing to part with, something you have created or an item you have in your collection of art, wine or jewelry. We have been so grateful over the years for your generosity with gifts to the auction and we’re hoping you will be able to help us again.

Last year’s grandparents’ selections of toys, clothing and handmade items were so successful that we are again requesting donations for this collection. Or perhaps you would like to host a special dinner for a small group. Gift cards to local restaurants, movie theaters, sports events, vacation homes, beauty salons, gardening services, and autographed books are very popular. These are but a few suggestions for you to think about. Additional suggestions can be found on our website, sigsc.org. All donations help support efforts to maintain our unique green spaces.

The Green Space Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations are tax deductible. If you do have something to share, please contact jeri.finke@comcast.net. Donations should be new or in excellent condition. We are gathering items every day and we would be happy to arrange for pickup of your contribution.
