Sea Island Habitat for Humanity Anniversary

Sea Island Habitat for Humanity is celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2018! Throughout the organization’s history, it has been dedicated to building safe and secure homes for deserving families across Johns, James and Wadmalaw Islands. Currently, Sea Island Habitat is building its 340th home! While staying true to the commitment to building new affordable housing, they have also expanded into doing home repairs for those in need. Sea Island Habitat is truly thankful for the support of the community.

While building neighborhoods throughout their services area, they also build on infill lots for people who own their own land, meet the homeowner qualifications and are currently living in less than ideal situations. Sea Island Habitat has thrived for 40 years because of the generous donations from individuals and businesses in the community, as well as through the success of its homeowner mortgages and ReStore sales.

Spring cleaning or have a storage unit to empty? The ReStore is always taking donations to sell and will come pick up your stuff for free. They will also help with deconstruction if you are remodeling. The ReStore is a good place to purchase gently used items and fixtures for your home.  For more information about the ReStore, go to

Sea Island Habitat would like to thank you for helping the organizaion get to its 40th year and are looking forward to the next 40 years!
