Johns Island Regional Library on Maybank Highway offers a wide variety of activities and resources for children, teens and adults. With schools closing for the summer, the library offers many fun and engaging activities for children of all ages. Upcoming events include:
- On Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 3:00 pm, kids will have an opportunity to meet an astronaut. Dr. Don Thomas, a mission specialist astronaut for NASA, flew on four different space shuttle missions and spent 44 days in space. He will share how he became an astronaut and what it was like living and working in space.
- On Thursday, July 18 at 6:00 pm, one of Best of Charleston’s Top 5 Local Authors, Lorna Hollifield, will be speaking about being a Lowcountry author and her latest book Tobacco Sun.
