King Tide Warning Issued for Charleston County, August 1-3

Please be aware that the next King Tide that could affect Seabrook Island will occur tonight, Thursday August 1 through Saturday August 3.

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Watch for Charleston County tonight. High tide will occur at 9:25 pm and is expected to be over 7′. Low-lying sections of roadway could have standing water, along with properties adjacent to the marsh. The tide is also expected to rise to over 7′ on Friday’s high tide (10:17 pm), and again on Saturday (11:10 pm). Please exercise caution driving on Seabrook Island roadways around these times.

Be prepared for flooding.  Clear mulch and other debris from the street drain near your home. Move items  up and off your basement floor.
