High Rip Current Risk

The National Weather Service has just issued a High Rip Current Risk now through Monday evening. In addition, their Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect from 8:00 pm tonight until 1:00 am Monday morning. To read more, click here. Please remember, the rip currents and flood advisories may continue throughout the week.  Check the link above to see any updates.

According to several sources, rip currents kill more people than sharks. They are sometimes hard to see on the surface, although you can often see a churning or disturbance on the surface of the water.

It is important not to go into the ocean when there is a Rip Current Warning!
