Lighthouse Inlet Bird Walk April 9

Seabrook Island has a variety of wonderful places to bird watch – the beach, the golf courses, the woods, etc. If you are looking for another spot to catch a glimpse of beautiful feathered friends, Charleston County Parks is hosting a Lighthouse Inlet Bird Walk on Friday, April 9, 2021.

It will take place on the diverse northeast end of Folly Island that once housed a Coast Guard station. This area is protected by the Heritage Preserve and has one of the largets bird lists in South Carolina. During the walk, they are hoping to see the beautiful Painted Buntings as well as Wilson’s Plovers.

The Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve is on East Ashley Avenue, Folly Beach, and the walk will be held from 8:30 am until 10:30 am.
