On behalf of the entire Seabrook Island community, Tidelines would like to give a shout out to the staff of the Lake House. For almost a year and a half, they have been balancing the need for everyone to stay safe from the COVID-19 virus with the desire for many of us to exercise. They were there seven days a week, taking our temperatures and cleaning the equipment. Several different options were tried, from classes online to classes outside. The workout machines were limited to every other one and the number of people in the workout room was reduced – all in an attempt to maintain social distance. When it was necessary to shut down the whole facility, they were still there, cleaning the entire building, including the library – book by book!
The Lake House would not be the great place it is without all the efforts of everyone working there. We look forward to returning to some sort of normalcy and thanking them in person.
Now is the time to start to work off those COVID pounds as the Lake House resumes normal routines! Reservations are no longer needed for the classes or the equipment. All classes are indoors, except the Splashers and Water Aerobics classes at 8:00 am, which are in the outdoor pool. The June Recreation and Fitness Schedule looks very similar to the pre-COVID schedule, with a few changes. Click here to read it, download it and maybe even tape it to your refrigerator!
