Over 15 renowned restaurants from all corners of Charleston will serve their most delectable dishes at the festival held on Meeting Street, backdropped by the Gibbes’ Beaux-Arts style façade. In addition to food, there will be an open bar and live music. This lively event is part of the Gibbes’ inaugural visual art festival, Art Charleston, happening May 9-13.
Art Charleston will be a weeklong celebration inspired by the museum’s major spring exhibition, Fighters for Freedom: William H. Johnson Picturing Justice, on display at the Gibbes through August 7, 2022. In addition to “Gibbes on the Street”, the Amy P. Coy Forum, Art of Design and Soirée will anchor the week’s activities.
