The Seabrook Island July 4th parade is a long-standing tradition. Each year, both the number of parade participants and parade spectators have increased. To keep our tradition fun for all, this year there will be an added emphasis on safety.
Why safety? We have many young children (youth and preteens) on bicycles in the parade, as well as an increasing number of LSVs full of families with young children. Because of that, the parade line up this year will be a bit more structured.
There will be a dry section at the beginning of the parade. All parade participants who would like to be dry will comprise the first part of the parade. That would be the TOSI mayor, followed by bicycles, and those LSVs and cars that want to be dry.
The appearence of the Johns Island Fire Engine will signal the end of the dry section and the beginning of the water party. All parade participants who would like to wet others as well as get wet will follow the fire engine.
We need the help of all Seabrookers to make the 2023 parade the best and safest one ever. Please do your part and share this news with friends and neighbors.
