Native plant packages specially designed for residents of Seabrook and Kiawah islands can be pre-ordered now and picked up at the Native Plant Sale on the green at Freshfields Village from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, November 3.
The sale is being sponsored by the Seabrook Island Green Space Conservancy and the Kiawah Conservancy. The native plant packages are based on design templates showing how these plants that thrive in our coastal region can be arranged in striking patterns within part of a yard.
The packages, which are being sold at wholesale prices,
must be pre-ordered by Oct. 19.
Individual native plants, but not the packages, will be for sale at the Freshfields event on November 3. While enjoying music and refreshments, visitors can chat with plant experts and with local homeowners who are already using native plants and are glad to share their experiences.
