There were many opportunities for residents, families and friends of Seabrook Island to celebrate the 248th birthday of our country on July 4, 2024, marking the ratification of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
Enjoy these pictures from the events.
On Wednesday evening, July 3, Seabrook Island Club and the Town of Seabrook Island hosted an explosive show of fireworks. Hundreds gathered on the driving range of Seabrook Island Club to enjoy music, food, and of course, the fireworks!

Thursday, July 4 brought sunny skies for the annual Independence Day Parade. An overwhelming number of enthusiastic participants and spectators viewed the interesting, funny and unusally decorated cars, trucks and LSVs.
Once again the parade lineup had a dry section and a wet section. The appearance of the Johns Island Fire Engine signaled the end of the dry section and the beginning of the water party. In the wet section, the participants were relentlessly hit by a barrage of water from multiple water guns on both sides of the street. No worries – they retaliated and drenched the onlookers right back!

After the parade, families returned to The Lake House so the children could enjoy a jump castle and slide. They even were able to check out the fire truck!

The Art Show provided a glimpse into the talents and creativity of fellow Seabrookers.

Thank you to those who made the Fourth of July activities an enjoyable time for everyone. Special thanks to The Lake House staff, Seabrook Island Property Owners Association, the Town of Seabrook Island, Seabrook Island Club, Seabrook Island CERT, and all the volunteers for their dedication and hard work.
