Town of Seabrook Island First Reading of Short-Term Rental and Related Ordinances – The First Reading will be held Monday, October 28, 2024, at 9:30 am at Kiawah Island Town Hall, 4475 Betsy Kerrison Parkway, Johns Island, South Carolina. Town Shred Event – Free shredding event to be held October 30, 10:00 am – noon at Town Hall. Attendees will be limited to three boxes (copy paper box or smaller) or three bags (kitchen trash bag or smaller) per vehicle. There is no need to remove binders, binder clips, paper clips, staples, rubber bands, or CDs/DVDs prior to shredding.
Beach Safety During Beach Renourishment Project– During low tide, from BW 1 to Cap’n Sams Inlet, please walk on the high side; from BW 1 to BW 7, walk near the water.
Beach Off-Peak – Beach patrol has now ended for the 2024 season (October 1). For a full list of beach rules, visit our website here. Also, Off-Peak Season (October 1 – March 31): Pets may be off a leash at all times in the General Beach area, provided they remain effectively controlled while on the beach.
2024 Holiday Extravaganza – It’s never too early to begin thinking about the holidays. The Town’s Holiday Extravaganza is planned for Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 pm.
