The 46th Annual Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathon and Half Marathon is this Saturday, December 14, at 8:00 am. Both the marathon and half marathon courses are Certified and Sanctioned by the USA Track & Field Organization and the marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
The Race Expo and Packet Pick-up are on Friday and Saturday. After the race on Saturday, there are several events for the runners and spectators on both Saturday and Sunday.
This means Bohicket Road, Main Road, and River Road will be busy the few days before the race, as well as Saturday afternoon and Sunday after the race. Freshfields might also get a bit congested.
