Heavy Traffic This Easter Weekend

Gate House May 2019

Heavy traffic is expected this Easter weekend coming on and off Seabrook Island. This weekend is a traditional spring break time for many people.

Gate pass data shows that the peak hours of visitor arrivals are from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm during the weekend. During those times, visitors passing through the gate may average over 100 vehicles per hour! In addition, this means there will be more than the usual number of cars, pedestrians, and bikers. Please be patient and obey the rules and regulations concerning driving, walking, and biking.

You may want to plan your trips back to Seabrook Island sometime before or after these hours if possible.

Please advise your personal guests, rental guests, and contractors arriving during operating hours to stop at the SIPOA Daily Pass Location (see below) to obtain their SIPOA gate pass.

Once visitors have obtained a valid pass for the period of their visit, they may proceed to the Gatehouse using the left/visitor lane with their pass displayed on the dashboard. If the SIPOA Daily Pass location is closed, visitors should go to the Gatehouse for their pass.
