Kate Silvia is a professional nature photographer, digital artist, and educator from Charleston. With a background in Marine Science, she developed a deep appreciation for nature and uses photography to share it with others. A gifted teacher, Kate speaks at camera clubs and photography groups across the U.S. and Canada. She also offers online classes, writes e-books, and runs a YouTube channel featuring photo editing and field technique tutorials.


In her presentation, among other topics, she will cover:
• Pros and cons of mobile phone photography
• Benefits of using image capture apps
• Useful gear: lenses, tripods, filters, and more
• Creative photo editing on your phone
• Intro to mobile workflows in Lightroom and LRC


This talk is aimed at anyone who wants to take better photos with their phone, whether you consider yourself “a photographer” or not.
