Textiles from the Deep: An Exclusive After-Hours Experience

Adult Hands-on History: Findings from the H.L. Hunley Submarine

Wednesday, November 4

5:30 -7:30 pm

Experience an unforgettable evening at The Charleston Museum. Join us on a journey to the bottom of the ocean to discover exciting new findings from the H.L. Hunley submarine. Explore the Museum’s newest exhibition, created in partnership with the Friends of the Hunley and the Warren Lasch Conservation Center, and try your hand at a variety of hands-on activities.

Create your own weaving using a loom and hook set, test your skills by attempting to bandage yourself using the skills and materials available to soldiers during the Civil War, discover the beautiful and unique art of hair jewelry, and view photographs through a stereoscope.

Adult Hands-on History is a unique occasion for grown-ups who are still kids at heart to explore the Museum’s many exhibits and collection items at your own pace and participate in engaging hands-on activities with Museum curators and staff.

Join us for an evening of fun, learning, and exploration! This rare after-hours opportunity is not to be missed—sign up today!

Tickets are all inclusive to include: Museum admission, hands-on activities, souvenir cup, refreshments, and light bites.
