Support Angel Oak Kids!

Support Angel Oak Kids!

The younger Mt. Zion students are now attending Angel Oak Elementary! You can help launch these students, and every student, off to a great start. This past school year, our wonderful community donated $4960 to our 501(c)(3) fund, Support Mt. Zion Kids! Our mission is to provide students and teachers with supplies needed for success, which are based on teacher requests. Your contribution makes such a difference!

Your donations help with:

Classroom supplies: Materials such as scissors, rulers, folders, pencils, crayons, paper, and glue sticks are needed in every classroom.
Clothing: Our school nurse keeps extra shirts, pants, socks, and underwear in every size. Every day, someone needs something!
Calming Boxes: These are for each classroom. Just like adults, students get stressed and frustrated! Holding a stress ball, a swatch of textured fabric, or small manipulatives helps calm children.
Family Game Night: Everyone enjoyed a variety of board games focused on learning.
Water Wise Swimming Lessons Program: Your donations purchased swimsuits for first and second graders in May. Students also received towels if they needed them.
Child Development Classes: Parents of Pre-Kindergarten children participated in workshops focused on interactive reading with their child. Each parent received engaging picture books!

Funds also provide teachers with specific school supplies that they request. Teachers emailed us their wish lists, and we will receive more requests as school gets going! You can donate through Zelle: mtzionkids1@gmail.com. Please put your email in the memo. You can also send a check. Just email us and we’ll send you the mailing address.

Thank you for helping Angel Oak Elementary students!
