It was a beautiful sunny day today, with a light breeze on the waterfront at Patriots Point this morning. Four intrepid Seabrookers braved the 79 degree waters in the Lowcountry Splash, an open water swimming competition down the Cooper River, under the Ravenel Bridge, around the Yorktown and into the dock – – a 2.4 mile swim. The tide was with them, but the breeze made the water a bit choppy.
The Seabrook Team (left to right) consisted of Jeff Pompe, Floyd DeAndrade (who came in 1st in his age category), Page Maxwell and Derek Fyfe. Congratulations to our Seabrook Team!
