A DNR team will be on our Atlantic beach at the east end toward Kiawah trapping Red Knots for banding tomorrow around morning high tide (10-12 noon). They’ll be using cannon nets, which is interesting, a lot of work, and about 50% successful. So, if you see them, please give them room and don’t be startled by the noise if they actually set them off. Also, Janet Thibault (the team leader) is looking for some volunteer help.
