As reported in the Post & Courier yesterday (3-19-19), higher than normal tides are expected through Thursday. Blame the gravitational pull of that beautiful full moon we’ll have on Wednesday. So-called king tides, like this one, are at least a foot above the usual range. The tides on Wednesday could be as high as 7.8 feet. That’s not as high as the king tides in February which were 8.02 feet, but flooding is likely in the usual low-lying locations. Fortunately, we don’t expect strong winds or any rain to worsen the event. BE SAFE.
