Yoga Nidra Workshop

with Emmy Marquardt, RYT

Date: Monday, February 10

Time:  5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Where: Live Oak Hall of The Lake House

Cost: $20

Yoga Nidra or “yogic sleep” is a deep guided meditation with benefit claims equivalent to 6 or more hours of REM sleep.  No prior experience is required to enjoy this in-depth relaxation practice.  Join us to release tension and invoke an inner sense of peace.

This workshop begins with some gentle movement on the mat to release tension in the body prior to settling in for the practice of Yoga Nidra.

During Yoga Nidra you will be lying on the floor for approximately 60 minutes while listening to a guided meditation.  Mats are available at the Lake House or bring your own.  You will need to bring at least two blankets and any additional comfort items such as pillows, eye covering, socks.  The body naturally cools down while resting so it is important that you bring enough items to ensure your comfort.

Thoughts often bubble up as a result of this practice.  There will be time at the end of the workshop for journaling if you would like to bring a pen and book to do so.

Please note, space in this workshop is limited to 15 participants and preregistration is required. Spots are filled on a first come first serve basis. The cost for each of this workshop is $20 per participant. This workshop is not included in the monthly class pass and there are no refunds. The fee will be charged to your property owner/club account and the classes are available to Seabrook Island Property owners, Seabrook Island Club members, and guests staying on Seabrook Island.

For more information or to register for the Yoga Nidra Workshop, please email Emmy at emmarquardt@gmail.com.
