Are you tired of walking or biking around Seabrook Island? Did you know there is an 8- to 10-mile walking/biking trail nearby called the West Ashley Greenway? It runs parallel to the Savannah Highway (Route 17) from Main Road to South Windemere Shopping Center on Folly Road and is ideal for walkers, runners, and bikers.
It is a linear park, build on former railroad tracks, and is open from dawn to dusk. The City of Charleston and the Charleston Parks Conservancy work together to keep this path as natural and beautiful as possible. There is parking available at either end.
