Seabrookers Work For Habitat’s Women Build Event

On Tuesday morning, March 23, 2021, Seabrookers turned out in record numbers to help Habitat and new owner Sarah (pictured below) build her new house in Hollywood. Work done by twelve Seabrookers with hammers in hand, joined by a friend from nearby Stono Ferry and one as far away as Santa Barbara, California, provided sufficient “sweat equity” to move the project ahead of schedule by one day — even with the number of volunteers half the size of pre-COVID volunteer groups.

Sarah, a Pre K-5 after-school coordinator and mother of two, grandmother of five and great grandmother of one, is looking forward to family gatherings and getting to know her new neighbors whom she met while working alongside us.
