Tai Chi – The Magic of Rotational Momentum
April 8, 15, and 22
If there is a secret in martial arts, it is the magic of the body’s rotational motion.
In this session, we will learn how the body can harness more of its mass to increase momentum in action by coordinating its rotational motions, from the feet, ankles, knees to hips, continuing up the spine to the shoulders, elbows, wrists, and finally the hands. For golfers and tennis enthusiasts, this session is a must. This series is taught by Dr. Maurice Olfus.
Thursdays at 1:05 pm and the cost is $40 for the series.
April 14, 21, and 28
This class will work to balance all muscle groups with an emphasis on challenging the core. This series is taught by Stacey Richardson.
Wednesdays at 2:00 pm and the cost is $36 for the series.
Align and Flow Yoga
April 14, 21, and 28
Awaken your core, connect to your breath and learn to ‘flow’ with intention.
This Semi-Private Series will focus on alignment and build upon students’ knowledge of poses through flowing modified sun salutation movement with modifications available.
Expect plenty of balance postures and an inversion towards the end of the class. This series is taught by Natasha Stevens.
Wednesdays at 5:30 pm and the cost is $42.00 for the series.
RideSBI – Two Series Offerings Beginning in April
The Lake House is offering two RideSBI Semi-Private options.
Come spin with instructor Sarah Mae for the ride of your life! Space is limited, so sign up now to reserve your spot. Participants can sign up for one or both offerings.
Class will be held socially distanced and outside at The Lake House.
What is Spin? Spinning is a group exercise class that focuses on strength, endurance, cardiovascular and recovery training while on a stationary bike. Sarah Mae brings her passion for running to class with a mix of high intensity endurance and cardio driven rides.
Never taken a Spin class? No problem, the great thing about Spin is that you can enjoy the energy of a group class while tailoring the experience to your individual fitness level and goals. Each rider controls his or her own RPM and resistance.
Option 1: 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29, 6/5
Saturdays at 8:30 am and the cost is $80 for the series.
Option 2: 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25, 6/1, 6/18
Tuesdays at 6:00 pm and the cost is $80 for the series.
Bring a towel and water. Since we will be spinning outside also bring a jacket or sweatshirt that you can easily take off once you get warmed up.

Please note, Semi-Private Series are limited to a maximum of 9 participants. Preregistration is required and no drop-ins. Semi-private series are not included in the monthly class pass and the fees for the entire series will be charged to your Property Owner/Club account. Semi-private series and workshops are available to Seabrook Island Property Owners, Seabrook Island Club members, and guests staying on Seabrook Island. Masks are required for workouts located inside The Lake House.
