The Seabrook Island July 4th parade is a long-standing tradition. Each year, both the number of parade participants and parade spectators have increased. To keep our tradition fun for all, this year there will be an added emphasis on safety.
Why safety? We have many young children (youth and preteens) on bicycles in the parade as well as an increasing number of LSVs full of families with young children. Because of that, the parade line up this year will be a bit more structured.
This year, the intentional parade lineup will have a dry section at the beginning. All parade participants who would like to be dry will comprise the first part of the parade. That will include the TOSI mayor followed by all bicycles and those LSVs and cars that want to be dry.
The appearance of the Johns Island Fire Engine will signal the end of the dry section and the beginning of the water party. All parade vehicles and LSVs that want to be part of the water party and get wet will follow the fire engine.
We need the help of all Seabrookers to make the 2023 parade the best and safest one ever. Please do your part and share this news with friends and neighbors.
All parade participants must be in line on Seabrook Island Road in the Seabrook Village area by 9:00 am.
