The Holiday Season Arrives in Seabrook

The sun peeked through the clouds with a chill in the air as the Fifth Annual Holiday Parade kicked off on Friday afternoon of Thanksgiving weekend for its complete loop around the island followed later by the lighting of the Christmas tree.

Grand Marshal Stookie Valentine led the parade followed by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Next came more than a dozen gaily decorated vehicles. Do you recognize any of the cheerily clad participants? Finally, pulling up the rear were our friends from the SJFD. As you can see, the holiday spirit was abundant.

Following the parade, Seabrookers gathered on the lawn of The Lake House to mingle with family, friends, and visitors. They enjoyed music and refreshments while awaiting the lighting of the holiday tree. As dusk descended, the crowd was delighted by the illuminated tree, which boasts 8,000 lights.

A good time was had by all. Let the holidays begin!
