This weekend, the Charleston area is hosting three major events, bringing thousands of people to the area. If you have not already made plans to participate or attend one of the events, you may want to stay home on beautiful Seabrook Island to avoid the traffic these events will bring.

The Cooper River Bridge Run is Saturday, March 28, 2026. It is an annual 10-kilometer (6.2 mi), one-way road-running event across the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge held in the cities of Mount Pleasant and Charleston.
Based on the number of race finishers, the event is the third-largest 10K and the fifth-largest road race in the United States. Approximately 38,500 runners will participate, along with countless family and friends cheering them on.

The Credit One Charleston Open, North America’s largest women’s-only professional tennis tournament, is taking place March 28 – April 5, 2026, on Daniel Island in Charleston, South Carolina. Fans can expect world-class play with 10 top 25 players confirmed, including a strong group of Americans. Beyond the action on court, attendees can enjoy a dynamic lineup of off-court experiences throughout the nine-day event.

On the weekend of March 27 – 29, thousands of festival-goers will arrive in this gracious Southern town to take in the flowers and hospitality and attend one of the largest arts and crafts festivals in the Southeast- The YMCA Flowertown Festival.
