Drug-Take Back Day Saturday April 24, 2021

Once again, Vincent’s Drug Store will be participating in the DEA’s Annual Campaign to properly dispose of unneeded medications. Bring your unused or expired medications (no liquids) to the store for proper disposal, tomorrow, Saturday, April 24, 2021, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.

If you are not currently in Seabrook, click here to see the location near you that is participating in DEA’s TakeBack Day.

This is the time to check your medicine cabinet for unused or expired prescriptions. Not only are they taking up space, but they can be harmful if someone else, other than whom they were prescribed for, accidentally takes them.

The problem is how to dispose of them. Throwing them in the trash is obviously not the solution. Once they are in the landfill, they can be picked up by people or animals. Flushing them down the drain can pollute the water system.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is a safe way to dispose of these prescription drugs. Drop off your unused or expired medications (no liquids) at Vincent’s Drug Store in Freshfields Village between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

If you have any questions call Vincent’s – 843-243-0007

(Image credit: Charley Moore- You know Dasher and Dancer, and Prancer and Vixen….but no, that’s not a reindeer you’re seeing on Seabrook! Piebald deer are very rare sightings, but we’ve been lucky enough to spot a few of them on the island over the years. This unique coat is the result of a recessive trait passed down between deer. It’s reported that less than 2% of all deer are piebalds.)

New Restaurant in Freshfields

Freshfields Village Welcomes Jersey Mike’s Subs

Jersey Mike’s Subs has now opened and is located at 350 Freshfields Drive, across from Kiawah-Seabrook Medical Care and next door to BB&T Bank.

The original Jersey Mike’s opened in 1956 and their subs continue to be made Mike’s Way® with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce, and tomatoes – topped off with an exquisite zing of “the juice” – red wine vinegar and olive oil blended to perfection. Jersey Mike’s premium meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot, piled high on in-store baked bread, and served up with a helping of neighborly banter from a dedicated and high-energy team. Jersey Mike’s turkey breast, ham, prosciuttini, and cappacuolo are all antibiotic-free. Udi’s gluten-free bread is also available.

Check out the full menu online before you visit.
