Holiday Hours for Fourth of July

Holiday hours for the Fourth of July Weekend 2020 are as follows:

The Lake House will be open on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5 with the current restrictions.  To read them, click here.   Please note, there will be no fitness classes offered on July 4.

SIPOA Offices will be closed both Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.

Town of Seabrook Island Offices will be closed both Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.

Harris Teeter will be open all weekend, including Saturday, July 4, with normal hours.

Vincent’s Pharmacy will be open on Saturday, July 4 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. They are closed on Sunday. They will be open on Friday, July 3 and Monday, July 6 with normal hours from 9:00 am until 6:30 pm.

Post and Computer Center will be closed all day on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5.  They are open on Friday, July 3 and Monday, July 6 with normal hours from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm.

New Stores in Freshfields Village

There are several new stores opening in Freshfields Village. We previously told you about Doin’ The Charleston that opened between The Corner Cleaners and Village Dentistry.  They specialize in gourmet foods, gifts, and beach music CDs.

Indigo Health is located on the 2nd floor above Tres Carmen. Indigo Health offers chiropractic and massage therapy services.  To access their store you need to use the stairs located between Tres Carmen and Coastal Footwear.

Jayne is located across the street from Indigo Books.  Jayne offers an everchanging selection of women’s luxury apparel brands.

The Patricia Reno Huff Gallery & Art Studio is on the 2nd floor above Beija Flor Jeans.  Patricia Reno Huff, a local artist, offers original artwork for sale as well as private and group classes in oil, watercolor, and pastel.  To access it, you need to take the stairs between Bluemercury and Beija Flor.

Memorial Day 2020 Weekend Holiday Hours

Holiday hours for the Memorial Day Weekend 2020 are as follows:

SIPOA Offices will be closed all day on Monday, May 25.  To see the schedule for SIPOA facilities from  5/18/20 until 5/31/20 for Property Owners click here and for Vistors/Rental Guests click here.

Town of Seabrook Island Offices will be closed all day on Monday, May 25.  They will reopen on Tuesday and will be providing virtual services by phone and email during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm).  Their phone number is (843) 768-9121 and for their website, click here.

Vincent’s Pharmacy will be closed on Monday, May 25, for the holiday.  They will reopen on Tuesday, May 26, with normal hours

Harris Teeter has resumed regular hours of operation (daily 6 a.m.-11 p.m.) and has made changes to the store in response to COVID-19. Click here to read these changes.
Senior hours will continue on Monday and Thursday from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Patrons are asked to comply, however company policy is that they do not turn anyone awayThey will be open all weekend, including Memorial Day.

Ace Hardware will be open on Monday, May 25.  Check with the store for hours.

Indigo Books is temporarily closed for “normal” business due to the coronavirus. However, we are still open for telephone orders and pick-up since we know there is a continuing need for books, puzzles, and cards. We are open to receive calls and for pick-ups from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, and with notice, there is usually someone here in the office until 2:30 pm. Call us at 843-768-2255 to place your order or give us an idea of what you are looking for and we will do some shopping for you. We will complete the transaction via credit card and have your purchase ready to hand out the door when you can come by. You can also text your request to 843-729-5397 (or call that number if you are unavailable from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm).

Puzzles!!  Finally received our shipment of Springbok Puzzles, from 24 to 2,000 pieces.  They are displayed in the front window for true “window shopping.”

Kiawah Island Parkway Single-Lane Closures Scheduled to Begin

Due to inclement weather, the Kiawah Island Parkway Improvement Project (Phase 1) will not begin until tomorrow, Thursday, March 5 (weather permitting) or Friday, March 6. Following their mobilization, construction crews will be working on the Kiawah Island Parkway from the roundabout at Freshfields to the main gate.

Starting March 5 through May 12, anticipate intermittent traffic delays and evening single-lane closures from 7:30 pm to 6:00 am. The bike path from the main gate to Freshfields will remain open.

Please allow extra time for travel. Traffic control will be present for the duration of the project, so use caution as there could be abrupt stops in traffic.

Freshfields Village to Host Artist Benjamin Walls, February 14 – 17

The Art of Adventure: A Weekend of Art & Film at Freshfields Village
Event Schedule

February 14 to 17, 2020:

• Friday, February 14:

Wall’s exhibit will be open from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and the Art & Wine Walk will take place from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. An opening reception with Walls will take place at on the Village Green at 5:30 pm.

• Saturday, February 15:

The exhibit will be open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm with the exclusive pre-release screening of KIFARU at 4:00 pm, which tells the story of the pending extinction of the Northern White Rhino.

• Sunday, February 16;

The exhibit continues from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm

• Monday, February 17;

The exhibit will be open from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

This weekend-long event will feature Walls’ best work, an exclusive screening of
award-winning documentary KIFARU and the annual Art & Wine Walk

Freshfields Village, in partnership with the Benjamin Walls Gallery, will host a weekend-long art exhibit and exclusive pre-release screening of the award-winning film, KIFARU on the Village Green. The Art of Adventure: A Weekend of Art & Film at Freshfields Village will take place February 14 to 17, 2020 to coincide with the annual Freshfields Village Art & Wine Walk.

New Year’s Holiday Hours

Holiday Hours for the New Year’s holiday are as follows:

SIPOA Offices will be open Tuesday, December 31 and closed all day Wednesday, January 1.  They will be open for normal hours (8:00 am until 4:00 pm) on Thursday, January 2.

Contractor Hours
No contractor work on Tuesday, December 31 and Wednesday, January 1.

The Town of Seabrook Island Offices
 will be closed on Wednesday, January 1.  They will open for normal hours (8:00 am until 4:00 pm) on Thursday, January 2.

Harris Teeter will be open for regular hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Vincent’s Drug Store – pharmacy will close Tuesday, December 31 at 5:00 pm and be closed all day Wednesday, January 1.  They will reopen Thursday, January 2 for normal hours at 9:00 am.

Post and Computer Center will close Tuesday, December 31 at noon and be closed all day Wednesday, January 1.  They will reopen Thursday, January 2 for normal hours at 9:00 am.

The following fitness classes will be canceled:

  • Pilates will be canceled on Monday, December 30.
  • Pilates will be canceled on Wednesday, January 1.
  • Gentle & Restorative Yoga will be canceled on Wednesday, January 1.

All other fitness classes will occur on Wednesday, January 1.
