Sugar Snap Peas Opening in Freshfields

There is a new baby clothing store that just recently opened in Freshfields. It is called Sugar Snap Peas and is located at 624 Freshfields Drive.

It is described as a destination for fresh and fun children’s clothing, toys and gifts. Whether you’re browsing for a baby shower, a birthday present, or just a new wardrobe, this store has you covered.

Current locations for their other stores include King Street in Charleston, and Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant. They have a wide range of products that run from newborn to age 8 for boys and 16 for girls. They also offer concierge-shopping services for out of state customers.

Tullamore Road performs a wide mix of rock and blues covers. They blend a wide range of influences in crafting a unique sound and vibe in their music. They also perform an increasing number of originals in their sets. The band recently finished in the top 3 of a major battle of the bands contest in Atlanta.  Tullamore Road delivers a high energy performance and is fronted by Erik Bush on vocals, guitar and harmonica with Chris Prescott on vocals and lead guitar, John Kortier on drums and Bob Bush on bass.

Art Show At Freshfields Sunday, May 28

The Seabrook Artist Guild will hold an Art Show on The Green at Freshfield’s Market, Sunday, May 28, 2017 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.

The show will include fine art in many mediums, photography and crafts.  Some artists will be painting live, so stop by and see the breadth of creativity that exists on our island and experience the artistic process live!

Come out to Freshfields Village to kick off the summer season with two evenings of live music during the Memorial Day Weekend Concert Series.

On Friday, May 26 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm get ready to party with Java Band, a high energy band playing great hits from every decade. Their versatile style combines music of all genres to satisfy the music enthusiast as well as the person that’s the life of the party. Jazz standards, Rock, Motown/Beach, R&B, Hip Hop, and Country they do it all.

On Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm enjoy a wide mix of hits from 70’s, 80’s and 90’s by The Counts. The Counts play a variety of classic hits from the 80’s and 90’s such Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kool and The Gang and Chicago, as well as today’s Top 40 hits, by Bruno Mars and Adele.

The concert is free and guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets.

We would like to invite you and all of your friends to become part of a yearly tradition at Bohicket Marina.  The Dolphin Slam is by design, made for all the anglers that want to go offshore with their friends, pay a low entry fee, and have the possibilities of great cash prizes!  The best part is that you can fish it from anywhere as long as you bring your catch by car or boat to Bohicket Marina for the weigh in!

New in 2017~  State Record Dolphin – $25,000 Prize

Guaranteed by Todd Gerhardt of the Ship’s Store and Ice Cream Boat is an additional prize of $25,000 for a new State Record dolphin caught during the Dolphin Slam!  The current State Record dolphin is 77.8 lbs and was caught during Bohicket Marina’s 2008 Billfish Invitational for the SC Governor’s Cup Billfishing series.  This is a sweet addition to what is already looking like a great 1st Place prize.

NEW IN 2017~  $50 DOCKAGE & TRAILER STORAGE FEE

This covers your dockage for the day prior to and of the tournament.  This year we are offering trailer storage onsite in Bohicket Marina for all participants of the 4th Annual Dolphin Slam.  This was a huge obstacle for many of our participants last year and we heard you!  You must bring your own trailer lock or have it attached to a vehicle.  Spaces are limited and your entry fee and dockage fee must be paid for trailer storage. First come will be first served!
